“First, I want to extend my congratulations to the entire Augusta Tech SkillsUSA Team. They truly represent the best of the best. I would also like to say thank you to all of our advisors. We couldn't have done it without Principal Advisor Sherrie Rowe and Support Advisors Dederick Scott, Partica Muse, and Anna Stewart. Because of them, our students are instilled with pride and a belief in themselves. This helps them realize excellence in their SkillsUSA competitions,” stated college president Dr. Jermaine Whirl. “We’re very proud of our students and their success last night. To have 20 compete and 18 take home a medal is an outstanding accomplishment!”
The Gold Medalists will go on to compete at the Nationals, which will be held virtually in June 2021.
