Augusta Technical College Announces 2024 Den of
Distinction Alumni Honorees
Awards will be given at the college's annual induction ceremony.
Augusta, GA - August 13, 2024
The Augusta Technical College Den of Distinction Committee is excited to announce the fourth class of inductees to the Den of Distinction.
The Den of Distinction celebrates alumni within Cougar Nation who have excelled in technical education and embody the college's vision and values. In the coming weeks, you can learn more about the 2024 inductees online.
Earlier this year, the selection committee accepted nominations for inductees, and after a rigorous review, ten members were welcomed into the Den of Distinction.
This year’s inductees are:
- Charlie Bowles, Human Resources/Safety Director, Two State Construction
- Joshua Braswell, Office of Fulton County Attorney and President, Georgia Association of Paralegals
- Consuella Carter, Director of Professional Learning Educational Training Services, LLC
- Peter Claus, Vice President & Chief Information Officer, Textron Specialized Vehicles
- Christina Clutter, Owner/Operator, Grow Pediatric Therapy and Group Services, LLC and Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Maria Hernandez Cook, SE Outreach Representative, United States Senate for Office of Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock
- Gwendolyn Jackson, Director, Burke County Library
- Susan Johnson, President and CEO, The 1790 Club
- James Lakeman, President, Glasslined Technologies, Inc
- Michael Violette, Site Services Human Capital Manager, Savannah River Nuclear Solutions
"The college community is excited to celebrate these 10 alumni who have displayed excellence within the community and within their professions," stated College President Dr. Jermaine Whirl. "We look forward to saluting them in celebration of their personal and professional accomplishments."
The college will induct the honorees on Friday, September 27, at 5:30 pm on the Augusta Campus in the Jack B. Patrick Information Technology Center Auditorium with a semi-formal event (cocktail attire). Platinum sponsors include McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture and Textron Specialized Vehicles.
