Dr. Amanda Bylczynski appointed as Associate Vice
President for Academic Affairs


Augusta, GA - September 11, 2023

Augusta Technical College has appointed Dr. Amanda Bylczynski as Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Originally from Lake Mills, Wisconsin, Dr. Bylczynki earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, a Master of Science in History from Illinois State University, a Master of Science in Educational Technology from the University of Central Missouri, and a Doctorate in Education focused on Community College Leadership from Ferris State University.

"I was immediately impressed with Augusta Technical College's dedication to its community to provide high quality programs and support services. I am honored to have the opportunity to join such an amazing team to continue this great work," stated Dr. Bylcznski.

Before accepting the position, Dr. Bylczynski served as Dean of Accreditation and Academic Effectiveness at Edison State Community College in Piqua, Ohio where she designed and implemented assessment protocols for co-curricular
education and student affairs as well as launched quality improvement action plans for academic affairs.

Prior to being in administration, she served at Edison State as a full-time history professor for 10 years, the head of the social sciences department for 8 years, and as a Sociology-History Instructor at North Central Missouri College for 3 years. She received several teaching awards from students in Phi Theta Kappa and the National Society of Leadership and Success, three Employee of
the Semester awards, and the Southwestern Ohio Council for Higher Education Faculty Excellence Award. To help students, she worked part time in Student Affairs as an Academic Resource Center Specialist advising students and
developing articulation agreements with university partners.

Dr. Bylczynski continues to research how assessment can improve services across the institution and presents her findings at national conferences across the country. Her presentations include Assessing Student Affairs, Co- Curricular Assessment, and How to Advance Food Pantries using Assessment Data.

"Dr. Bylczynski brings a wealth of experience in academic affairs, accreditation, and assessment to Augusta Technical College. I am looking forward to her continued leadership in these areas as we continue to build a culture of assessment," stated College Provost Dr. Melissa Frank-Alston.
